About
Noemi Ehrat (b. 1996 in Uster, Switzerland) is a freelance journalist, photographer and sub/copy editor. She works with both text and photography and likes to combine the two, where possible.
Her interest lies in portraying people, mostly those who fight against adverse circumstances – be it in relation to housing, reproductive health, or state brutality and other discriminatory forms.
She is currently studying Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Before that, she completed her master’s degree in Modern and Contemporary Literary Studies at Trinity College, Dublin and was awarded the Árni Magnússon Scholarship to study Icelandic as a Second Language at the University of Iceland. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Linguistics and Political Science from the University of Zurich.
